Rich Nacin’s Occupy Wall Street

Rich Nacin (aka @richnyc) has been documenting the Occupy Wall Street camp in NYC since September. In the beginning he was sharing his OWS photos on his Instagram feed, but he soon realized that what was happening in Zuccotti Park was something worth further documenting so he teamed up with a few other photogs to post images on @occupywallstreet.

I saw Rich speak a few weeks ago at the World Wide Instameet in NYC and dug that he took OWS’s “just do it” mentality to create and document what’s happening there. Rich’s OWS photos switch between iPhone shots and his DSLR, but the images posted here are iPhone 4 images that Rich shared with us on the Objective Scenes flickr group. You can see all of his OWS photo sets here.

About DocPop

It all started with games.. During his daily ride on SF BART, Doctor Popular would constantly drain his new iPhone's battery playing Field Runners, but this app obsession soon spread from games to music. Using apps like Nanoloop and Thumbjam, Doc created an an entire album with his iPhone. He was also one of the first street musicians to perform with an iPad. Now Doc spends most of his spare time creating photography and visual art with his iPhone. Currently he is working on The Daily App Experiment, a year long collection of experimental art, and a book collecting his "appsperiments".
