Daily App Experiment #352 “Truth”

Daily App Experiment #352 "Truth" - Today's #appsperiment is basically an experiment with #anticrop & #autopainter, with a tiny touch up in #filterstorm (where I re-added the figure under the tree). #daily_appsperiment

I’m pretty sure that Corona Heights is my new favorite park in SF. Everytime I visit there, I get such great images. During a recent trip, I snapped a shot of this epic tree that I thought was just ripe for experimentation. With the help of AntiCrop, AutoPainter, ACDSee Camera Flash, and Filterstorm, I created the above appsperiment.

Here’s the original photo…

… which I then ran through AntiCrop to get a little more sky…

… lightened up using Camera Flash….

… ran through AutoPainter’s Benson filter…

I used this painted version as my Filterstorm background and just added the original image of the person under the tree back on top.

About DocPop

It all started with games.. During his daily ride on SF BART, Doctor Popular would constantly drain his new iPhone's battery playing Field Runners, but this app obsession soon spread from games to music. Using apps like Nanoloop and Thumbjam, Doc created an an entire album with his iPhone. He was also one of the first street musicians to perform with an iPad. Now Doc spends most of his spare time creating photography and visual art with his iPhone. Currently he is working on The Daily App Experiment, a year long collection of experimental art, and a book collecting his "appsperiments".
