debinsf has shared a lot of great experimental shots in our Objective Scenes flickr group, but this one really tugged at the Gameboy-loving-nerd in me. Also, I’m pretty sure it uses the new Doctor Ocular filter, which will be available with the next update.
After & Before by Ariel Dovas
Love the colors and the lighting in this photo by Ariel Dovas… but really I’m a sucker for any pics of alcohol.

A Day Late
Here’s a cute appsperiment I made for Valentine’s Day. I shot two photos in Hipstamatic of my friend Herzog, then used Image Blendere to layer one on top of the other.
Armani suit on Polk St
A dapper dude I bumped into on Polk St. He asked if he could take my picture, then I asked if I could take his… his suit was way better than mine.
Shot with Lomorama 2, which I have a love/hate relationship with. You can’t turn off the flash, the UI appears to be missing a few buttons, and you can’t import photos (it’s a camera only app, like Hipstamatic)… but the filters are so incredibly good!
Daily App Experiment #358 “Kaiser Pepperminte”
A recent trip to the doctor’s office (for a sore butt bone) brought me to Kaiser’s wonderfully aged buildings on Geary Street. Using a combination of FrontView and PhotoForge2 I created this above appsperiment. Here’s my process:

“despair” by Hochlander
More fantastic work from the prolific iPhone artist, Hochlander. This piece was created using Camera+, Anticrop, Juxtaposer, Decim, Filterstorm, and Snapseed. Looks like time well spent!

“Dots Girl” by Ale Di Gangi
A great experimental image by Ale Di Gangi, from Mixed-Up, his iPhone art exhibition. We also posted this FANTASTIC airport shot of Ale’s a few months back.

Mukendi
I used to bump into Mukendi a couple times a week while walking through SF. Those his close were often a little worn, he always seemed to have his own style going on. The few times we talked, we joked about being the two sharpest dressed fellas in the area. One day I saw Mukendi in the Mint Plaza and I asked if I could take his picture.

“Fire Walk With Me”
Another great shot by Jeremy Brooks. I love the composition of this shot, especially how the writing on the bike doesn’t pop out right away. Also dig the bent handlebars, which I first mistook for a fisheye effect.

Pier 14
A foggy day shot at the mouth of Pier 14. This shot was already pretty lined up, but I used the FrontView app to slightly stretch out the edges of the gate into a perfect square.
“Who Loves You?” by Jeremy Brooks
Jeremy Brooks posted this earthy picture on our Objective Scenes flickr group. I love how he’s taking advantage of the extreme closeup to blow out the focus on the background.
Daily App Experiment #352 “Truth”
I’m pretty sure that Corona Heights is my new favorite park in SF. Everytime I visit there, I get such great images. During a recent trip, I snapped a shot of this epic tree that I thought was just ripe for experimentation. With the help of AntiCrop, AutoPainter, ACDSee Camera Flash, and Filterstorm, I created the above appsperiment.

Cinemagraph: Escalatin
This is where things start to get a little weird. I’ve been sharing cinemagraphs that I’ve been creating with the Kinotopic app this week, and I wanted to mess around more with some of Viddy‘s filters, so I created the above gif. I’m realizing, however, that Viddy must be making really small versions of the videos, because the kinos don’t look quite as hi def or something… Either way, I’m kind of digging the compressed colors. Here‘s an alternate version.
Cinemagraph: “Coventry and Kaluza”
Spotted these performers in Hallidie Plaza (by Powell St BART) today and created this quick cinemagraph using the Kinotopic app. I wanted to video to be a bit more interesting, so I tweaked the video in Viddy before creating the Kino version. Here’s a bonus kino too!
