Welcome John Curley as our 1st guest contributor!

John Curley in Beatty, Nevada

Objective Scenes was started as a platform for sharing work from artists that had inspired us. Taking that goal to the next step, we are introducing a new series of guest contributors to this blog. We’ll still be posting images that we find through the Objective Scenes Flickr group, but each of our guest contributors will have one week to showcase some of their favorite personal shots and, hopefully, discuss some of the process behind them.

I’m pleased to welcome John Curley as our first guest contributor! I first became acquainted with John’s iPhone photography through this great article on the Bay Citizen and have since been following his posts on Instagram (as @johncurley). I’m excited to see what shares with us throughout the week!

About DocPop

It all started with games.. During his daily ride on SF BART, Doctor Popular would constantly drain his new iPhone's battery playing Field Runners, but this app obsession soon spread from games to music. Using apps like Nanoloop and Thumbjam, Doc created an an entire album with his iPhone. He was also one of the first street musicians to perform with an iPad. Now Doc spends most of his spare time creating photography and visual art with his iPhone. Currently he is working on The Daily App Experiment, a year long collection of experimental art, and a book collecting his "appsperiments".
