I’m a member of Instagram gang called HK Instayay. Not a very tough name I know, but we’re serious about our IG addiction and keep our iPhones within striking distance at all times.
About once a month, we get together for an instameet and photowalk in Hong Kong. Last weekend, about 20 of us went to HK’s most popular tourist destination – The Peak.
The way it works is simple. Have fun, make friends, and take lots of pics. We even wear badges with our names and IG handles. Like I told you, we are a gang. You don’t want to mess with us.
The Peak – as the name infers, sits way up high on a mountain overlooking Central Hong Kong. Getting there is fun too. You can hike, bus it, or do what I did – take the 11-minute tram to the top.
Despite being a bit of a tourist trap, complete with Hagen Dazs and a Madam Tussauds wax museum , The Peak offers – well, pretty epic views of the city and beyond. There’s also 5k walking loop that offers great views of Lamma Island, Lantau Island, and Victoria Harbour. If you’re ever in Hong Kong – you should go. Just be sure to pick a clear day.
