Portrait Appsperiment #3 “Enric”

Daily App Experiment #270 "Enric"

Today’s experimental iPhone portrait is of my friend Enric. It was created with a complex mix of Interlacer, Juxtaposer, AutoPainter2, and TrueHDR.

Enric original

The original shot was created with the Camera app, then turned black and white in Camera+, where I also created a light and dark version.

These two versions were merged in Interlacer, then I used Juxtaposer to bring the original image back on top, so Enric’s skin was all un-interlaced. I then ran this through AutoPainter2 and then used TrueHDR to merge the original back with the “painted” version.

About DocPop

It all started with games.. During his daily ride on SF BART, Doctor Popular would constantly drain his new iPhone's battery playing Field Runners, but this app obsession soon spread from games to music. Using apps like Nanoloop and Thumbjam, Doc created an an entire album with his iPhone. He was also one of the first street musicians to perform with an iPad. Now Doc spends most of his spare time creating photography and visual art with his iPhone. Currently he is working on The Daily App Experiment, a year long collection of experimental art, and a book collecting his "appsperiments".
