Another Walk

Another Walk

1 Front Street, San Francisco

Hipstamatic is one of my favorite iPhone photo apps. It took me a while to get into it, since there are so many combinations of lenses and films to play with. I’ve settled on a few that I like, and mostly stick with those now.

Hipstamatic has one major drawback. It only takes input from the camera. You cannot take a photo with another app and then process it with Hipstamatic.

This image was made with the John S lens and Claunch film.

Greeted By The Fog

Greeted By The Fog

I’ve been working in downtown San Francisco for over 12 years now, and I have been wanting to get this shot for most of that time. If there was fog, it was obscuring the entire Transamerica pyramid, or I couldn’t get out of the office to this vantage point, or I would get up there just in time to see the fog burn off.

One morning, it all came together. This was the first image I got of the scene, and I made it with my iPhone because it was in my hand. I then got my DLSR out of my backpack and got some additional images. However, this image, processed with Photoshop Mobile, was my favorite of all.
