I’m back in Hong Kong, which means I’ll be keeping my trusty iPhone4 at the ready. You see, I’m a bit of an Instagram addict (the first step is admitting you have a problem), and Hong Kong is pretty much Instagram gold.
This is a view of Kowloon (where Bruce Lee grew up), taken from my flat in North Point (which is on Hong Kong Island). It’s one of the clearest mornings I’ve seen in my short time here – and Victoria Harbour, the buildings, the mountains, and the clouds were all strikingly visible.
Of course, you don’t get the full impact from the pic above, which brings up another challenge for iPhone photographers (at least for me). My coolest shots are typically close ups, detailed subjects, and patterns. Capturing a massive landscape (or cityscape in this case) on a mobile device is not easy. But I follow a few IGers who do it really well.
I got some great feedback on my last post about lowlight photography. (And a couple snarky tweets suggesting I should try a different camera .
I’d love to hear your tips and success stories on landscape iPhonography.
